I had so much fun reading this book!
Cassidy Jones and The Secret Formula packs intrigue, social issues, science fiction, and brilliantly wrought characters into a hugely fun and entertaining read for YA audiences and big kids alike.
Cassidy is not one of the popular kids and spends her school days avoiding bullies and wishing she was more athletic. When a laboratory accident leaves her with incredible superpowers and a mystery to solve, Cassidy has to fight her own emotional upheaval to battle the baddies without letting her new abilities destroy who she really is.
Teamed up with the very clever and enigmatic Emery, Cassidy Jones finds herself in situations that a few days ago she wouldn’t have dreamed possible. The action scenes are fantastic (in a terrifyingly good way) and the scifi bad guys are equally creepy and scary and well drawn.
Cassidy Jones is an experiment gone right! A page turning success that kept me riveted until the perfect final chapter.
I’m taking too long writing this when I need to be reading Cassidy Jones and Vulcan’s Gift!
I loved this book!
