Hi. I'm Lee, middle aged and I write. Mostly poetry and short stories. My style is punchy, raw, sour, sickly, bitter and sweet. I post here quite often. Take a look in sometime.
Ezekiel Sykes: Journal of a Daemon.
Don't Drink Alone.
Square pegs/Round holes.
A grimy, slimy, motley crew, are the stars in this tale of drug dealers and their criminal life. The main thread follows Kaya, a young woman who drifts into the arms of a small time dealer, Treyvon, then out of them and into the charms of his boss, James. Drawn into this life by the attraction of James and the lifestyle, she quickly assimilates into her role within the rat-pack.
The darkest character, for me, is Arlen, a simmering, on the boil type of psychopath and sadist.
None of the players are heroes. Its not that type of story. It's hard to like any of them but this highlights what a wonderful seedy world, M.Krashes has given birth to.
That is all I will reveal. So do yourself a favour, pick-up a copy and read a brilliantly crafted story. Well worth the money and more precious than that, the time.
