Hi. I'm Lee, middle aged and I write. Mostly poetry and short stories. My style is punchy, raw, sour, sickly, bitter and sweet. I post here quite often. Take a look in sometime.
Ezekiel Sykes: Journal of a Daemon.
Don't Drink Alone.
Square pegs/Round holes.
Beem Weeks. A fellow author, reviewer and gentleman.
His collection of stories from the title, encompass many facets of human foibles.
His first snippet of genius, 'A Match Met', was comic and shared an ending with Karma.
A theme of growing-pains,( Rave On, Bodies Terrestrial, Bigfoot Was My Father, resonate), and accruement of experience are a silver thread that stitches the tales together. What are individual ravioli of life, spill onto the plate together, to make a substantial offering.
My favourite though was, 'A Life Lived( In Under 600 Words).
A smack-in-the-face tragic tale.
Koobug adherents know Beem, but for the passers-by and the 'quick-clickers': Stop.
Take time out to see what this wordsmith is all about. Then buy this book. There is nothing, but good work within.
