No matter what your age or your background, there is a time in one's life when we have to start thinking of ourselves. You may have worked all your life, raised a family, were a caregiver, or either married, divorced or widowed. The time is now to make a plan and start to change your life. Maybe when you were younger you had many dreams. Dreams that went by the wayside because someone discouraged or disillusioned you. It could have been a parent, a sibling, a close relative, a husband or wife, that talked you out of it. No matter what your dreams were when you were young, there is always the possibility of making them come true now. You have to be the one to make the decision and be strong enough to follow it through. Make yourself a plan....explore the possibilities that would be good for you and follow it through. Don't let your age deter you from finding happiness and expressing your feelings. Go for it! You will be glad you did! Changing My Life
As I began to read Francesca's story, my first thought was....how did Jacqueline Coote know so much about me. I am, or could be, Francesca. This book resonated with me in so many ways and on so many levels. Francesca's timidness and unsuredness is a compelte reflection of my own life. When I was through reading the book; which I did in one sitting, as I could not stop reading once I started; I thought to myself "you have to change just like Francesca". Anyone who is afraid to begin something or try something because of what could happen, will never know the pleasure of finding out what could happen. The story was so strong, and yet at the same time, it felt like a delicate tale. Maybe it was Francesca's delicate nature. I loved this book and recommend it to anyone who needs to refelct upon their life and the chances they missed. This book will help you frind the Garden fo Relfection within yourself, I know it did me. Not long before I read this book I had decided that I needed to change my life and after reading it, I now know why I feel I need to make the changes. If I want to really live life and not just exist until my time ends I need to take those chances I am so sfraid of. Garden of Reflection gave me some hope, some reasoning, and some excitement to see what my garden will turn out to be like when I take the chances I need to take. Thank you Jacqueline for writing such a heartfelt story. I am sure your garden is beautiful.
